Ecogeoman left for Far Off Land this morning. He'll be gone for three weeks, then back for one week, then off to British Columbia for another two weeks (where he'll be in the forest alone. can he not get eaten by a grizzly bear?). He'll be participating in his high school best friend's wedding, renewing his visa, visiting family, and working.
I just hate it when he's gone. I miss him a lot, plus I'm such a homebody. Without someone around, it's possible for me to stay inside all by myself and do nothing for way too long.
Expect lots of blogging, I guess.

I feel ya! V has been gone since last week and the only times I got out to be social were dinner with my advisor and a girls night tonight! I am always the one leaving for longer periods of time-three weeks of him absence would be very hard for me. Hopefully you will keep busy and it will pass quickly!
That sucks. Oh well. It is only three weeks till you get to see him again. And until then we will try to be entertaining!!
Hubby is out of town all week as well, so I know how you feel. Hope the time passes quickly and maybe even productively!
That IS a bummer! My husband went to his home country a few years ago. He was gone for three and a half weeks and we thought the world would come to an end. He's not just my husband, but my best friend! I hope the time goes fast and yours is back home soon!
When hubby and I lived in separate states, I spent a lot of time with my friends drinking bad beer in between writing chapters of my thesis. It passes the time, though!
Keep yourself busy, and call everyone on your cell phone list!
Yeah, that's no fun. Mr E Man once worked out of town for a month, including a long weekend where literally every single friend went out of town. I was really really miserable - I love being alone when it's my choice, but I hate it when it's forced on me. It passed eventually though, and it was so great to have him back when he returned!
Awwww... I hope you keep yourself busy, and that the time passes soon and smoothly until he comes back!
Thanks for the sympathy, everyone. I didn't expect too many comments on this post, so how nice to find I'm not as alone as I thought. :)
One of EGM's trips was for four months (although I did get to see him in the middle of it), so this one seems pretty short in comparison. Still crappy though.
Sounds like we do the same things when our men are away. Too bad for us blogging women that we don't live closer together... I would hop on over to your living room and force you to play Candyland all night.
Too bad indeed, Candid. I would LOVE to play candyland!
Oh, that's too bad. :-( But we fellow bloggers will appreciate extra company from you!
