Sounds like a good plan! My plan is to get the Goose back to her Dad, hoping the planes will leave despite the snow & the storm
Hey, your list is pretty similar to mine (although I didn't make a list). Last night we went to TJ, today we went for a long walk in that preserve by where you work and I'm planning to do my nails today. Doing my nails usually doesn't involve color but sometimes. Laundry should also be on my list but I still have clothes to wear so it will wait. I think our fun tonight (although the walk was fun) will be to watch a movie at home and drink lots of alcohol, which we bought at Costco last night.
Lol - you might as well have written my to do list :) Picking where to open an IRA account (and what to do from there) is trickier than I thought, or perhaps I am overanalyzing it; if you are using any info sources on this that you like, please share!
I might take some from your list to add to mine! I still have remains of my pre-Xmas sparkly nail polish making me look oh-so-classy =)
sciencegirl, I have a savings account with ING and I plan to do the IRA there. They have a really low minimum, only $250 (or lower if you enroll in the automatic investment plan at $25/month or more) and they describe all their products in a very accessible way. I intend to do the auto invest thing by moving the money from my savings to the IRA. BTW, their savings account pays WAY better interest than most banks and can be opened in minutes.
It's funny that we all have similar lists. I guess most people do pretty much the same stuff on weekends. Except for you this weekend, hypo -- good luck fighting that storm.
This is my list combining last week's and this week's list. (including the opening the IRA part).
And I love reading random stranger's lists.
I've been thinking about starting an account with ING. You're the third person that's spoken highly of them.
I was thinking of using Schwab - I guess now I will be comparing them with ING :)
Don't take my word for it, because what I know about investing and brokerage services could fit on the head of a pin. I didn't do much comparison shopping before I start the ING savings account. I knew if I put it off in the name of making a well researched decision, I would just never do it. So now I'm started with ING so I"m going to do the IRA thing there because it's easiest.
It's the only thing left on my weekend list and it's almost bedtime now, so I guess I'll have to start saving for retirement tomorrow.
